The inspiration behind the design of this unusual trophy is the cassette, a distinctive element of cycling sport. With a clever wink, the artist has split this cassette in two, inverted it, then arranged it at an angle, to give this trophy depth and an attractive visual texture. The central part of the trophy is made of Quebec maple wood, while the cassette and its base, reminiscent of the shape of the spokes of some bicycle wheels, are made of water jet cut brushed aluminum.
